2022 HighlightsBeing raised by first-generation immigrants has taught me valuable life lessons. First lesson is "My output depends on my input." This means nothing worthwhile comes without work. As Vince Lombardi said, "The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary." Therefore, my input during practice is just as important, if not more than during game time. Second lesson is "I'm a work in progress," meaning I still have much to learn. In all my years of playing, I have learned from my peers as well as my coaches, and I choose to have a continual growth mindset because it will benefit me in everything I do. The third lesson is "Unfortunately, the reality is there are winners and there are losers." Soccer and life has taught me that in order to be on top, I must push myself to be the best wherever I am and whatever I am doing. Without competition, people can become complacent and lazy. When we push ourselves, we often unintentionally push those around us too.
I greatly want to be part of a team that loves playing one of the greatest games on earth competitively. I LOVE soccer, and have loved it since I started playing at the age of four. Soccer is my heart. Future goals include playing at the collegiate level while earning a degree in sports management. I may be small physically but I am strong, and have been told repeatedly that I play BIG.
