Personal Statement
Growing up in a small town in Wyoming has given me a unique soccer experience. I began playing soccer when I was four and from the age of eight I have played on a co-ed traveling team and competed against full boys teams. This experience has taught me how to keep my head up through adversity, it has made me a stronger and more well rounded player, as well as teaching me the importance of teamwork. I plan of attending a college that can offer me a solid academic program in athletic training or a pre-medical program. Not only that but I want a college that will push me athletically and an athletic program that is involved in the community and is focused on having good character.
I have been a varsity starter since my freshman year in high school which has taught me so much about being a part of a team. Success does not come from a single player but from the team effort and I have been shown this countless times though my years. I believe that my abilities to overcome adversity, to compete with any type of player, and my motivation and grit would make me a perfect fit for any team!
