Shelby Schainost '18 Recruiting Profile

Aspirations for me are to make myself better as well as making my team better, whether the positives show in the statistics or not.  I have learned to be patient from practicing with my farm animals as well as with difficult teammates.  In my team I as usually the one who calms people down and gets them to hustle into the huddle, whether I am first there or not.  In practice I go out with everything I have, and in games I sacrifice even more than I should, but I find no problem in going all out in something that can alter your future.  Whether in a good way or a bad way. 

Academics are a major influence in my life because receiving good grades can be the difference of having a subject done and having it learned than having to go in after school and miss practice and games over a bad grade that can make or break yourself and your team, from your absences.  I am determined to be a leader to my team and those who want to be a leader as well.  I want to have a positive influence on my team whether it is through my actions or my reactions.
