Ava Parker '24 Recruiting Profile

In school, the pool, and life in general, I strive to be the best student, teammate, and person I can be.  I believe it is important to develop the skills and strengths God has given me in order to fulfill my potential in and out of the pool. I am driven, focused, and have an ability to push through difficulties and challenges that might cause others to stumble.  While swimming is technically an individual sport, I love the team aspect of it and am usually the one giving motivational pep talks to my friends and teammates.

My short term swimming goals are to break 23.99 in my 50 freestyle, 26.99 in my 50 butterfly, and earn Sectionals times in the 100 Fly, 200IM, and the 400IM. I recently achieved my goal of earning Sectionals times in the 50 Free, 1000, and Mile. What makes me different from other recruits would be my integrity, my honesty, my passion, my compassion, and my zeal. I frequently take a leadership role on the team, coaching the younger swimmers, including those with special needs, and leading warm-ups at swim meets. I am coachable, taking instruction and completing each task to the best of my ability. At school, I am disciplined, goal-driven, and have a 4.0 GPA. I love to learn and enjoy studying God and His creation. I try my best to swim and apply myself to school while praising the Lord in everything I do.
