Hi, my name is Jaleel Williams.
Swimming has always been my release from the outside world, and the competition only adds to the excitement. However, the high school I attend does not have a swim team. Because of this, I have always had to swim for a team that was year round. Being able to get accepted into a college for swimming could possibly be an eye opener for my school and the community, showing that a student can get signed for any sport besides basketball, football, or soccer to name a few. And for me it would mean a lot personally, because I would be the first African-American female to get accepted onto a college swim team at my school. I would like to be the one to make a change.
