EVELYN MCILVEEN '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Evelyn McIlveen, I am a 17 year old senior at Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, California. I swim on Irvine Novaquatics with my coach Ken LaMont. I have been swimming for around nine years mostly at Fullerton Aquatics Sports Team (FAST) and I have in the beginning of 2019 moved to NOVA. During those years I have experienced many things; during my sophomore year of high school I took a year off of swimming to get healthier due to a shoulder injury that I have. Since then I have done lots of physical therapy and started swimming again late 2018. I have worked hard to get better and to surpass where I was before I took my year off. I have swam in many high level competitions and in international competitions. I have also swam in Switzerland where I got to experience a different perspective of swimming that I have cherished very much. Swimming to me is something that I have loved and hated for many reasons, but it is a part of my life that I want keep and to try and accomplish as much as I can.
