Cassandra Grinstead '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Cassie Grinstead and I am going into my senior year at Tesoro High School. Looking ahead to college, I am striving to grow both in the pool and out, and am prepared to put in the effort to do so. I began swimming competitively about 7 years ago, and as my high school career is on its last leg, through inclusiveness, leadership, and hard work, swimming and being part of a team on a collegiate level is a goal of mine I am more than ready to tackle. Academics have always been a priority to me, and I am hoping to major in Elementary Education, to be placed on the correct pathway of becoming an elementary school teacher. Although my swimming abilities play a big role in being successful, I would love to bring my positive and encouraging mindset and personality to a college team, because I believe that goes a long way as well. My current coaches have awarded me for always having a smile on my face, despite any circumstance, and I was chosen to be team captain for this upcoming season. Cheering teammates on and letting them know they have someone who cares for them and wants to see them do their best is extremely important to me.
