Hello! I am Maia Alston, a competitive swimmer from Marietta, Georgia and I attend Walton High School (class of 2025). I’ve been swimming for around 8 years and have been competitive for 7. I’ve been swimming for my club team, Chattahoochee Gold Swim Club for 3 years. In 2020, I was a state champion in the 200 backstroke and 50 freestyle, and my team won all four relays. In 2022, I qualified in 4 events for the speedo sectionals eastern championship (200 back, 100 free, 50 free, 100 back). My high school, George Walton Comprehensive High School, won not only the county for 6-7A schools, but the state championship for 7A women, and I walked away with one gold medal for the 4x50 freestyle relay and a silver in the 4x50 medley relay. This current season, I was awarded rookie of the year, an All-State Title, and an All-American title for the 4x50 freestyle relay. As a high-school student athlete, I am always looking for new ways to better my leadership skills and learn from those who have influenced me. I’m an honors/AP student that is always making sure my academics come first. I plan to finish high school with at least 6 completed AP Courses complete. I look forward to finding a school that can fulfill my academic and athletic goals!
