ActivitiesIn 10th grade with a school project I began a small business "Gifts that Give Back" that help small nonprofits with selling custom glass etched items that I create and they sell or use at events. I do this for for two organizations that I strongly believe in: PMDPhawaii.org (Marine debris removal) HoolaNaPua.org (Preventing sex trafficking in Hawaii through law enforcement) I volunteer to work in the KAWAINUI MARSH WETLAND RESTORATION AND HABITAT ENHANCEMENT PLAN which helps with cleanup and planting for habitat restoration. I am in the National Honor Society and we commit to an additional 48 hours of community service projects to include helping the school intermediate swim team practice, supporting PROJECT GRAD events on campus, sewing masks for homeless camps in Waimanalo and more. I am a Teaching Assistant at Le Jardin Academy for five weeks during the summer. I help with three classes and in the afternoons, I am the pool deck manager which helps students in primary grades get to and from their swim classes. I volunteer as a Peer Leader to the PWH Scholars Program (pwhscholars.org) in Hawaii with their events which serve students my age currently living in public housing in Hawaii. I often run event booths as well as set up, take down and clean up their event venues. I helped coordinate their drive through Christmas party in 2020 as well as managed their food bank delivery during the shutdown in Hawaii due to COVID.
