I remember the first time I smelled the chlorine. I instantly fell in love with the water. Every morning when I wake up to swim at five o'clock in the cold currents of the 25-yard pool, my adrenalin spikes up a little more. Sure, it sucks sometimes to have to wake up before the sun 6 times a week but the more and more I do it I know that it will help me succeed. As a little girl, it has always been a dream of mine to be a part of something that not only I would enjoy doing for a long time, but something that would teach me the values of life as I progress. Now that I am older I have an understanding of the importance that swimming has on me and what values it has taught me. Swimming has helped me find who I am and what I love doing. Swimming has taught me to become compassionate and caring. Swimming has taught me teamwork. Swimming has taught me self-discipline. Swimming has taught me many amazing morals that I use in my everyday life, and it will only continue to teach me and help me in hopefully serving our country in the air force. I would love to swim for a college team and to be a part of something that will make me and my teammates succeed while having fun. Thank you all for your time and just remember to "keep on swimming," (Dory)!
