Swim has been part of my life since I started club swim at age 8. I practice an average of 10 hours each week and compete at various meets all year round. Swim keeps pushing my physical and mental limits, and boosts my confidence and self-esteem. Through swim, I get to know a lot of friends. Through swim, I realize the secret to success lies with preparation, dedication, and most importantly hard work. Years of efforts have transformed me from a novice who could barely finish 200Y IM to a competitive swimmer with multiple state cuts. I swim the high school varsity team since the freshman year, while maintaining a successful academic record with AP and honor courses.
As my high school years will soon come to a close, a new chapter awaits. I am looking forward to a comprehensive and balanced college experience that would not only allow me to thrive in academics, but also offer opportunities to continue my passion in competitive swimming.
