My swimming career began from a very young age. I knew early on that the water was my home. It wasn’t only the motivation of getting stronger and faster in the pool that helped me feel that I was home, but also the lifelong friendships. My fellow teammates, coaches, on-deck competitors, and their families have inspired me to be my best self – both in the water and out. My swim family is a second family. That sense of community is one of the key qualities I’m looking for in a college.
Outside of the pool I placed myself in a position to be challenged academically as well. I am ranked in the top 10 of my class and am enrolled in several AP classes. I plan to take advantage of as many AP classes as I am able as I complete my high school education. I also enjoy participating in German and Beta club.
My goal is to find a college that stretches my mind while surrounding me with a community of supportive coaches, professors, team, and classmates. While I still have a few more years in high school, it’s my intent to study forensic science and genetics.
