I hold dual nationality with Australia and France and have lived in five countries within South East Asia, attending international schools, which I believe has contributed to my adaptability, appreciation of diversity and cultural understanding. At university, I will look forward to the prospect of further developing relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds.
Integrity, accountability, and persistence are crucial to me. I understand the importance of teamwork, commitment and trust in swimming and thus, I feel that as a member of the swim team, I will thrive in the team environment and bring a unique and positive level of energy and spirit to the team. I would love to be a part of a successful swimming team as it would be the most motivating, electrifying and thrilling experience swimming has to offer.
My most significant achievements so far have been qualifying to swim in the Singapore leg of the FINA World Cup in 2018 and 2019 (August 15-19). Placing 2nd in the 50 fly LC (girls 15-17 years) at the Singapore National Age Group Swimming Championships, and 3rd in 200 fly LC (open age group) at the Singapore Nationals. As well as 2nd overall top point scorer (Girls under 18) and contributing to my team's win as overall champions, at SEASAC 2019 (South East Asia Student Activities Conference).
Furthermore, I am interested in the field of Sports Science and Medicine, where my interest lies. The course aligns with what I desire in my university education, a hands-on approach to understanding the complexities of the human body within the realms of sport, exercise, and movement. I also believe that a balance between teaching the latest developments and the fundamental basics are essential to learning.
