Averey Johnson '21 Recruiting Profile

I know that I would not be the same person I am now without my experience on my club swim team, Monocacy Aquatic Club (MAC). I would not be as academically successful, physically fit, or generally happy without the demanding practices, strenuous meets, supportive teammates, or all of the successes and failures. For the past six years that I have been a MAC swimmer, I have learned the value of commitment, perseverance, sportsmanship, time management, inclusivity, and ambition. I have created incredible, life-long friendships, which helped me discovered a unique, humorous, outgoing, and fearless side of me. Along with my club swim team, I also plan to swim for my high school.

I am interested in finding a program that pushes its swimmers in the pool but also prioritizes academics. I firmly believe that during my final two years of high school, I can prepare myself physically, mentally, athletically, and academically for becoming a collegiate swimmer. I know that I have what it takes to get myself there and also be an enthusiastic teammate for your program!
