Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Emma Humbert and I've been swimming for as long as I can remember. I joined a competitive summer team when I was 6 and a year-round one when I was 9. Over the years I have found that I enjoy the team and individuality aspects of the sport. Being a part of a team has taught me cooperation, leadership and persistence. On the other hand, the individuality of personal races has taught me independence and the ability to take responsible for my actions. I have always been a hard worker and my goals of being a competitive collage swimmer have pushed me to practice more effectively, always aiming to swim faster. My dedication and passion for the sport not only make me a good athlete, but also a good teammate and leader.
