Growing up in Hungary, where swimming is one of the most popular and successful sports, I learned how hard you have to work for your goals. I became a humble worker both inside and outside the pool from having morning practices since I was 9 years old, to having to wear a corset for my scoliosis day and night for over half a decade.
After a very successful year, I had an injury that forced me to take a half a year off swimming. During that time I realized how important the sport is to me, so I was determined to come back even stronger, both physically and mentally. I hope my college years can be the time for me to achieve my goals both in swimming and academics, which is to become a role model for others both in the pool and outside.
