I started swimming competitively when I was 6 years old, and immediately fell in love with the sport. Even after trying track and field my freshman year, nothing could compare to the feeling of the water. I always appreciated the sport for the family, friends, and experiences it gave me. I am a very hardworking, goal-oriented person in and out of the water and plan to bring those qualities with me throughout my college experience. As well as spending many hours in the pool, I spend just as much time focusing on school and extracurriculars such as: volunteering with the National Honors Society (NHS) and swim meets, working as a lifeguard, participating in school clubs, and reading. I plan on continuing my love for the water in the next chapter of my life by pursuing a degree in Marine Biology to fulfill my dream of specializing in sharks and rays.
