Ava Marlin-Hovey '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I am Ava Marlin-Hovey, a Junior at Capac Jr-Sr High School in Michigan. As an athlete, I swim for Blue Water Swim Club. My favorite event is the 50 Free, but I also compete in the IM, 50 Breast, and 50 Fly. My academic performance is consistently impressive, maintaining an A/B average and making the honor roll most semesters. As well as being part of the National Junior Honors Society and now National Honors Society.

Swimming has been a significant part of my life since I was 7, when I started year-round lessons and advanced through the program, where I proceeded to participate in endurance and skills clinics and camps. Over time, I developed a deep passion for the sport and learned that hard work leads to success. My ultimate goal is to swim at the college level, where I can challenge myself both athletically and academically.
