My name is Phoebe Handwork and I have been swimming for about 10 years. I started my swimming career at my current year round program, the Grosse Pointe Gators. One of the biggest highlights of my swimming career was making it back to the A final at the 2021 Speedo Summer Sectional Meet in the 50 breaststroke. I was able to race against some of the top college swimmers. That race really showed my true love for swimming and the competition it comes with. I also am a memberof my High School team. On Grosse Pointe South Swim and Dive, I have been apart of the state team 200 Medley relay, and 100 breaststroke ever since freshman year. Ever since sophomore year, I have participated in the state team 200 free relay, and 50 freestyle. I am very fortunate for being apart of the MHSAA runner up state champions of the Swim and Dive team. I have learned the value of teamwork and hard work through both my club and high school swim teams. I feel I not only have the potential to compete for a college team, but also the character, competitive drive, and leadership qualities to contribute to my future college program.
