Growing up with Kylie Masse as my dear teammate and role model, I’m a 3 time Canadian Age Group National Champion and 8 times medalist. Moving to the US and leaving the team I grew up with, impacted me more than I could imagine. I reached a plateau, but thanks to the patient support from my new coach and loving friendship from new teammates in the Grosse Pointe Gators, I'm proud to say that I've regained my love for the sport and my strength in the water! I’m so excited to keep bettering myself through hard work and determination to get back to the high level I was at. Looking back, I've learned a lot about persistence, trust and teamwork from my precious downturn experience.
Throughout high school, I've always been very involved in various clubs and leadership positions, including being the President of Multicultural Club at my school and being first chair oboist in my school's top Wind Ensemble. With my 4.2 GPA and high standardized test scores (35 on the ACT), it is inevitable that, along with a rigorous training schedule, I have developed incredible time management skills in order to balance all that I do. I hope to pursue a career in medicine, so continuing this healthy balance between academics, leisure, and swimming is very important to me! I will definitely contribute my positive and hard working attitude, as well as fun enthusiasm and encouragement to my future college swim team!
