Hi! My name is Regan Oian Vust.
I have been swimming since I was 2 years old and it has become such a large and important piece in my life. I am very committed and determined to doing my best in anything and everything. Something that sticks out about my personality is my respect for others. I am open to being critiqued, I find it very valuable. I am always there for my teammates, whether it be after a bad race, a tough practice, or just needing someone to be there. I am also very excited to celebrate the good times.
My parents have raised me knowing that academics come before athletics, so although I am very committed to swimming, my academics are very important to me. I take pride in being a student athlete and I attempt being a good role model to others. I take joy in learning many things, but psychology has always interested me. I have participated in science fairs, working in the realm of psychology, and I plan on taking psychology classes in high school.
While keeping my grades up in school and swimming on varsity level, I enjoy my time with others. I have many friends in and outside of school and I also am very happy to have a supportive family that always has my back. I enjoy poetry/writing, music, art, learning a new language, community work, meeting new people, baking/cooking, learning about health, and interior design.
Music has always been a huge part of my family. I have been learning piano, harp, percussion, and singing. I am currently teaching myself the mandolin harp, and I am interested in learning and a few others. I enjoy art and I find it to be very calming. Learning a new language is very exciting for me. I am currently learning Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL), and I plan on learning more in the future. I love helping out in the community and learning others' stories. Being with my church and having many opportunities to help others is very important to me. Seeing people smile is the best thing. I am always trying new recipes, because food is a key component to living a good life. When eating right, it can help out in so many ways. I have learned eating well, staying hydrated, sleeping well, and staying physically fit is the best way to stay healthy. I love being creative, so interior design is exciting to me. Poetry is something I have found to be meaningful. I really enjoy writing as well.
That is pretty much a summary of me typed out! I hope you enjoyed learning about me, ~Regan Oian Vust : )
