Sophie Bisek '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I am Sophie Bisek, I am 16 years old, and a Junior at New Prague High school. I have loved water for as long as I've known. I never knew I wanted to be a swimmer until I started swimming in 5th grade. I have been swimming for 7 years with Neptune Aquatics in New Prague, MN, and transferred to Northfield Swim Club in the last few months. I go to every practice, and work hard in every set. I am resilient, devoted and take control of my training. I am disciplined in, and out of the pool with my academics always coming first.  I enjoy this sport not just because of swimming, but the lifelong friendships I have made, and will cherish. I cheer and I am positive with my teammates. I don't take any moment for-granted while having fun with the team, and during a set to work hard and, being consistent with my technique. 

Outside the pool, I keep the same mentality of staying in control of my school work as that is priority. I don't bury myself in school work. I am also the proud co-owner of a small business for 4 years with my older sister. We sell slime at markets and vendor events. We have a profit margin of over 50% per slime, we have shipped our product to over 20 states. I learned from a young age the way of business, and caught on quick. We have also had a storefront for a year, but recently closed the storefront due to focusing on are other interests.Teaching kids how to swim is also something I love to do, to help the next generation of kids and possibly save a life. 

Overall, I am a positive person who is motivated and driven to improve my academics and swimming skills. My goal as I get older is to improve on myself, and my swimming. Every day when I see little kids on the pool deck swimming, I hope that I am inspiring them with my joyful personality, kindness, and devotion to the sport. I hope to leave a positive impact on every person I meet inside, and outside the pool.
