Whether it be in the pool or in the classroom, I am personally motivated by facing and overcoming new challenges, making me a good candidate to be a part of a team at a school that values both academic and athletic rigor. At school, I push myself to partake in accelerated courses and take full advantage of extracurricular activities to expand my knowledge into other fields. In the pool I am always open to learning new ways to improve as well as pushing myself to new levels while participating in a motivational team environment. I have always loved the sport of swimming because of the satisfaction I feel when I see myself and teammates reaching new goals as a result of our hard work and dedication. The mental strength and toughness that I have gained through the sport has helped me in many aspects of my life as well. After spending almost 10 years with my club team, CSP, I have developed relationships with my teammates and coaches that I will forever be grateful for. I am constantly inspired by my teammates and classmates alike, so in a college setting I hope to be a part of a diverse environment where my peers are willing to share new ideas and put forth their best efforts. By participating on a collegiate level swim team, I aspire to create new lifelong bonds while continuing to face and overcome adversity that will prepare me for any career path that I may choose to pursue.
