I have been swimming competitively for seven years now, but I have loved to swim my whole life. I have lived in many places, including Arizona, where I had a backyard pool that started a lifelong love for the sport. I have been on three different club teams, and I love meeting new people, trying new things, and learning as much as I can about how to improve my swimming. Swimming is where I can feel relaxed and most like myself.
I want to swim at the collegiate level because I believe that it is a great opportunity for me to continue to grow and compete in the sport of swimming. I was a captain for my high school swim team last year, and I continue to take leadership roles where I am able to help the most people strive for success. I am very coachable and a good teammate. I love to learn new ways to change my stroke for the better.
I have a 4.0 GPA and I have taken AP and honors classes throughout high school. I also like to volunteer at my church. I would like to attend a school where I can continue to grow in swimming and academics, and challenge myself in these ways.
