Madeline Cieslak '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Madeline Cieslak and I am from Holland Patent, NY. I started swimming in fourth grade. Since then, my love for the sport has grown greatly. My first year on varsity, I swam the 200 free and 500 free and have continued since. While mid-distance freestyle is still my favorite, I love challenging myself at a variety of events. I also try to set an example for my teammates. I have been the team captain for the past three years. My sophomore and junior seasons on varsity, I was also voted MVP. I have pushed myself as much as I can as I strive to become the best possible swimmer I can be. Not only do I work hard in the pool but school as well. I have been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA while having practice five out of seven days a week as well as taking AP classes. I also take college classes outside of school to further myself academically. I hope to be able to continue to push myself athletically and academically in college. If considered for your team, I can assure you I will make a great addition.
