I’m a swimmer, and a runner; occasionally participating in Triathlons. I have built my whole life around my training schedule, and I’m constantly adapting and changing to see what will benefit me in the pool. I don’t just go to training to go through the motions, I am dedicated to improving myself and reaching my full potential. I like training and pushing myself to the limits every practice.
In my free time, I enjoy playing instruments such as the Guitar, Piano, Ukulele, Bass Guitar and the Trumpet. I’ve been playing Piano for eleven years, and I picked up the others throughout my musical journey. I also enjoy literature; reading and writing is one of my favourite pastimes as I keep multiple journals and my ‘to be read’ list grows everyday.
I appreciate school almost as much as I enjoy training. My goal is to stay on the honour role and I’m always working with my teachers to see how I can continue on an upward trajectory.
I’m very driven academically, and athletically. The main thing that keeps me going is the thoughts of my future; from a very young age I’ve always known that I wanted to make a change in the world. My main objective for the future academically is to study Aerospace Engineering. In terms of athletics I want to be able to continue training post-secondary. Swimming and running have always been stress relievers for me, and I want to keep training on a team for as long as I can.
Something that sets me apart from other recruits is my drive. I would consider myself a leader, and in sport I take the role of a captain. As much as I push myself, I try to bring up my teammates as well. As a recruit, I can confidently say that I would be a fine asset to any team, and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.
