Personal Statement

I have been swimming for the Timiskaming Northern Loons Swim Club for 8 years now, and I am very excited to continue swimming into college, while furthering my education.  I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to be part of a swim team, as it has taught me perseverance, and commitment.  In my small Northern Ontario town,  we unfortunately have a very small pool, as it is only 2 lanes.  This makes for difficult training because of how crowded it is in the lanes.  Swimming in college will not only give me the opportunity to  be part of an incredible team, but it will also help me to reach my potential as an athlete.
