2019 HighlightsI'm Emma Stephanie Poe and I love swimming!
My love for this very complex sport, got me to a tryout session in August 2018, where I've been evaluated by my head coach Olivier Renaud from Whitby Dolphins. Not long after my session they have offered me a place in their Senior Swimming Group. As a high school freshman and a competitive swimming newcomer, I had to prove myself to the team and to my parents that I could handle this challenge. It was a challenging year; a combination of passion and dedication for both academics and sport. This made for a wonderful year with great results. In the next few years I will continue to work hard to improve my strokes and times.
I'm a visionary, hardworking, with a good sense of humor, I'm confident and I love challenges. I would like to find a great University program that will allow me to fulfill my dream of getting a good education while enjoying competitive swimming.
Besides swimming, I’m also passionate about lifeguarding. This summer I‘ve got my Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification with the Town of Whitby. I am already a certified Bronze Cross Lifeguard.
In my spare time, I love to volunteer at my club meets/events, traveling with my family and spending quality time with my two dogs, Klaus and Ella.
