Sasha Wai '26 Recruiting Profile

Hey! My name is Sasha Wai and I am a junior at Greenhill School in Addison, Texas. While my profile displays my times, GPA, and academic and athletic honors, what it doesn't show is who I am not only as a person, but also as an athlete. Whether I'm on deck, in the pool, or in the classroom, I always try my hardest in everything I do. My goal is to always improve. Even if I don't drop time, I'm patient with myself and focus on learning from that experience. I also believe that teammates are an important part of any team. On both my club and school team my teammates are so important to me from cheering each other on to the moments we share together. What makes a big difference for me in a race is hearing your teammates screaming "Go!" as you dive off the blocks. It's the adrenaline rush a swimmer gets when they come up for air and see their teammates cheering them on. Beyond the pool I am a member of many different aspects of my community and I have learned over the years how to balance my academics, athletics, and social life. With all of the things I've done in my life, the opportunity to swim in college is one of my biggest dreams. My biggest swimming goals in college would be to make friends for life with my teammates, and to continue to grow and improve as not only an individual athlete but also a teammate.
