Sophie Stowers '26 Recruiting Profile

I began swimming for a summer league team at the age of 8. I qualified for the state meet and placed 3rd in 50 yard backstroke. I quickly fell in love with swimming and joined an USA team. Due to my location, I travel an hour each way to my club teams practice. We often practice twice a day and I strive to maintain a high attendance in both practice and meets. I just completed my freshman year in high school, winning a bronze medal in 100 yard fly and a silver medal in the 100 yard backstroke at the 4a state championship meet. I achieved this while maintaining a 4.0 gpa and taking first of many college classes. I'm striving to continue to drop time in all strokes while graduating valedictorian. I want to step up as a humble leader this year in both high school and club swim, while cheering on my teammates.
