Personal Statement
My parents introduced me to tennis when I was seven years old, and since then, this sport has been a huge part of my life. Tennis has taught me how to be disciplined and work through problems, as it is a very detail-oriented sport. Being an athlete, I’ve learned how to push myself to limits I didn’t know were even there, and how to overcome mental and physical barriers within myself in order to grow. On my free time, I enjoy reading and spending time with family and friends. I get along with everyone, as I am very outgoing and personable. In college, I want to continue to improve and compete at the highest level, while working with and supporting a great team of girls. Tennis has given me many different experiences and opportunities throughout my ten years of playing, and I look forward to another four years of hard work, learning, and teamwork in college.
