Hi, my name is Elise Talley and I am a member of the class of 2017. I live in Coto de Caza, CA and I attend St. Margaret's Episcopal School. I'm looking forward to playing collegiate tennis because it's everything that I have dreamed of for the past few years. When I was young, I tried every sport out there, but nothing stuck because honestly, nothing was enjoyable for me. Tennis was the same of me, at first, but then, I started getting excited for matches on the weekends and I developed a group of tennis friends on my club team that I am still close with today. I made the varsity team my freshman year and I made even more friends. I played #1 doubles with a senior named Lola and I remember being in awe of the senior captains, especially our #1 singles player, Tessa. Now, I play #1 singles and in a few months, I will be the captain of my high school team. Over the years, I have learned about friendship, leadership, and the importance of winning and losing as a team. I bring a lot of laughter and jokes to my high school team, and at times, I can be very competitive. However, at the end of the day, I think my team mates will remember me as a leader who cared more about the team doing well than just myself. At school, I am very dedicated to my studies and participate in several clubs. I work hard on and off the court and I know that I would be a great fit at several colleges.
