My name is Ece Gencer. I am a grade 11 student at the IMG Academy. And I am a part of the IMG Academy student-athlete program. Before coming here this year I have been a Koc School Student for11 years since 2011. My whole life, I have always wanted to be a professional tennis player. That’s why I have devoted most of my time to tennis as well as being a Koc student when I was in Turkey since tennis is my ambition but also education was important to me. I have attended various national and international tournaments to improve myself on the court. I have the passion, attitude, ambition, and perseverance to play tennis under any circumstances. Since 2015 I have played in the most prestigious tournaments in Turkey and reached my goals in these competitions. I have not only collect points but also gained priceless experiences. I became one of the top 8 players in my age group in the Turkey Ranking. In the future, my dream is to be a professional tennis player. But education is also important for me. I want to study a sport-related subject such as Sports Management or Sports Psychology in college. So that way I can help other players with their tennis journeys.
