Hi, my name is Jannelle Taylor. I am currently a senior attending Leesburg High School in Leesburg Florida. I have a 3.2 GPA however I know it is my senior year and I need to keep up with my A average for my last year of high school. I just currently enrolled back into the Leesburg High Schools ROTC program. I was involved in that my freshman and sophomore year as well. During my time in the ROTC i was awarded the airman of the quarter, I am also currently the C/SEA (cadet senior enlisted advisor). Tennis has been a passion of mine for years. My sophomore year I received the Bright House Sports Network Player of the Year for Lake and Sumter County. I also included making it through districts and into the Semi-Finals of states with my doubles partner. Last year my singles record ended at 18-0. I beat the number 1 seed and was the District 6 champion for singles. Over the years I have trained with USPTA coaches and I currently work with a former ATP conditioning coach who worked with the pro tour for 16 years. I feel what I bring to match play and practice is my two handed backhand and my will to never give up and to fight to the very end
Over the years I have been involved in dancing, singing, and AFJROTC. During 10 years of dance I performed tap, ballet, jazz, Hip-hop, and lyrical. My signing began in elementary school and continued through middle school. Since then I have also sung with the youth worship team at The Fathers House and some things such as weddings. Also, I was involved in AFJROTC during my freshman and sophomore year of high school. While in AFJROTC I was also a member and performer of the Drill Team. We performed for 2 years at national level competition and received the award for 10th in the nation. I plan to enroll in the AFJROTC during my senior year.
Tennis means everything to me. My goal is to play tennis while earning my college degree. During this summer and until high school tennis begins, I plan to play USTA tournaments to continue and grow in match play.
