Sophia Davidson '19 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing tennis for 11 years. I began doing camps at the age of 7 and received private lessons to better my game. I have played in over 100 USTA matches and I have competed in USTA Team Tennis since 2013.  I played Girls Doubles my freshman year at Penn High School and finished undefeated. My sophomore year I played #1 JV singles and #3 Varsity singles finishing with an undefeated season. I hit a two handed forehand and a two-handed backhand along with a slice. I am a diligent and hardworking student in studies.  After years of hard work and dedication to this sport, I have developed a love for the game of tennis. I admire the atmosphere of a team and the support everyone brings for each other. To be able to continue to be apart of that atmosphere beyond high school would be incredible. In studies, I have maintained above a 3.5 GPA for five consecutive semesters at Penn High School while challenging myself with Honors and AP courses.
