Hello! My name is Jenna Lehman and I am a senior at Adams Central High School in Monroe, Indiana. Growing up, my parents involved me in every sport they possibly could, but I didn’t get involved in tennis until the middle of my 8th grade year. I was planning on playing school basketball, but when the first basketball practice came around I made a last minute decision to end my career and pick up a tennis racquet instead. Looking back on that decision, I can honestly say that it was the best one I have ever made. Tennis has boosted my confidence in myself in several different areas and has taught me the value of hard work. Tennis, being an intellectual sport, has forced me to be mentally strong not only in the game, but in life too.
The many hours of practice that I put in over several years paid off when my small 300 student high school beat the 11th ranked team in the state in the first round of regionals. That season, I ended up winning 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Teal All-County, 1st Team All-Area, 1st Team All-Region, and Honorable Mention All-State. Many girls that compete at my level have been playing their entire lives so they are at the peak of their performance, but I have only been playing for a little less than 4 years, so I believe that I still have a lot of room to improve before I reach my full potential. I am a natural born leader and possess the God-given talent along with a strong work ethic that would no doubt be a great addition to your team!
