Hello, my name is Eloïse and here’s my story. I picked up a tennis raquet when I was barely 3 years old and have spent countless hours on the court with my dad. When I turned 6 I joined the lone local club on the island and practiced with boys, putting in a lot of extra hours with my dad. By the age of 13 it was obvious that I had to leave Saint-Pierre & Miquelon and join a tennis academy if I wanted to keep moving forward and get better. In September 2017 I moved to Villeneuve-Loubet, in France, and became a full time student at the Team Daniel Contet International Tennis Academy where I still am right now. I have been practicing 20 hours + for the past 3 years now getting ready for what I hope to be a long adventure...
My goal has been clear from the start: I want to play tennis in the USA for the best and most competitive University possible. Education is a priority for me, as is tennis. I hope to someday be able to compete in the WTA and although I realize the road is long and there are no guarantees, I believe in my potential and I am willing to work hard at it. I am learning day after day to use my power, my serve, my forehand... to finish points at the net... to develop the discipline and skills required to become the best possible... and I am looking for that University that will help me to become the best player I can be. I am also a team player and try to help my peers as best as I can to make the most of each day.
Tennis has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I have also been a good student. It is therefore natural for me to be pursuing my dream of becoming the best player / person I can be. The opportunity offered by the USA Universities is without a doubt my best chance to succeed. I would feel privileged to obtain a scholarship, to play for and represent a top University.
Thank you for taking the time to read me. I look forward to hearing back from you.
Truly your’s,
Eloïse HUTTON
