Camila Ruiz Vega ...I began my tennis career when I was 13 years old at a near local tennis courts. For the first year and a half I practiced recreationably. When I was 15 I decided I wanted to compete. I moved to a highly competitive academy which helped me develop into a more complete player. Most people say I started way to old, and sometimes it seems easier to agree so I can justify my defeats. Yet, I have worked my spirit off - with blood, sweat and tears - to try to make the most of this beautiful sport. I really enjoying playing, mostly Doubles, as I find them fun, vivid and I possess the capacity of visualizing the court with more ease to win the points.
I believe tennis serves as a life skill. It has taught me to never give up, that every point (or decision) matters into the result, to stay focussed and to choose wisely. I am ranked 6th in Girl's 18 in the Caribbean.
