Riley Rienert '19 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Riley Rienert and I am a junior at Pinkerton Academy class of 2019. I am interested in a tennis scholarship and feel that I am a good candidate to play in college. I have made the varsity tennis team at my school of 3,000 students my freshman and sophomore year. As a freshman, I played #5 singles and #2 doubles with both winning records. We also made it to states in doubles and made it to the semi finals. Sophomore year I played #2 singles and #1 doubles both with winning records and made it to the quarter finals in singles and semi finals in doubles. I am currently a junior this tennis season playing #1 singles and #1 doubles.

Only playing tennis for a shorter amount of time and realizing the accomplishments I’ve made so far is when I decided that there is potential to play in college. I play 2-3 times a week in my off season and 5-6 times a week during tennis season with usually 3 games a week. I am hard working student in athletics and in my academics. I have made honor roll every year becsuse my academics really matter to me. I feel I am a good fit to play in college because I have good time management between academics and activities. I would love to have the opportunity to be apart of a college team and bring a determined and open minded attitude. I feel that I am different than other recruits because I have been playing for just under three years and have picked up the game quickly. I take corrections and am always willing to learn more because I would love to grow even more as a player in college. My goal is to continue playing tennis because it is something I love and enjoy doing.
