Hello! My name is Julia Chiovitti, I am currently a junior at Manhasset High School in New York. Ever since I was young, playing with a tiny, pink racket, I have always been drawn into the light of tennis. Trying to perfect each stroke fascinated me and when I found out perfection was impossible, it engulfed me further. Trying to place each shot to create a point like perfect puzzle pieces, still keeps me hooked to this day. Everything about the sport intrigued me. I wanted to learn anything there was to know about tennis. It was the curiosity with pure drive and determination that has shaped me into the player I am today. I am incredibly hardworking and will do anything to help me improve and succeed. I continuously remind myself on court that I am resilient and relentless. I have completed three varsity seasons with my team and had the honor of being captain this year. I loved being in the leadership position and being able to guide and motivate my team to many victories. It challenged me further to convey to my team what it meant to be a good teammate. Tennis has taught me how to be a strong, sometimes aggressive, independent and self-reliant person. It has shown me how I could strive for even better grades in the classroom and fully become a well rounded student-athlete. I am a fighter, always have been, always will be. I am very excited to further my career to a collegiate level!
