Jen Cox Tennis Re...Personal Statement
Tennis is an extremely important part of my life that has modeled me to the person I am today. I have gained many new friends from playing. It has also given me the confidence and the higher self-esteem for every day actions. I am currently at West Islip High School graduating in 2017 in West Islip, New York in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB Diploma). The diploma program is made up of six college classes, higher level and standard level, and a community service portion. The combination of the IB Diploma and tennis has given me the confidence I need to do the best I possibly can in school. I'm always working hard to succeed both in the classroom and on the courts. The competitive atmosphere challenges me to be the best that I can be. It would be an honor to play college tennis being able to continue challenging myself, making new friends, and being about to continue my passion for as long as I can.
