Jasmine Gabriel '14 Recruiting Profile

Hi,
My name is Jasmine Gabriel and I am 16 years old. I know that it's never too early to start looking for colleges so I decided to go ahead and start. I am 5'9, and 160lbs. I am an African American. I have been playing tennis for about 9 years now. I've been playing for the USTA for about 7 of the 9. I won a few states titles (singles and doubles).  I play for my high school (Weddington High School) and I am number 1 last year and this year. I would do anything to play tennis in college. That is what I've been aiming towards ever since I picked up my Babolat tennis racket. I am looking for quite a big school. But a small one would be nice as well. I work very well with others and I love being a part of a team. I know how to pump up, and how to make my team mates settle down when they need to do so. There's nothing more that I love about being on a team except that extra push that my team mates give me that make me want to work even harder and get a win. I guess everyone would of course like to play for a D1 college, but honestly, of course, not everyone can. I would love to play on a D1, D2, D3 or D4 team. I have high expectations for myself and I strive for the best. I wouls play all 4 years on the college team that I got the chance to play on.
