I hope to further physically and mentally develop as a player to improve my game and fulfill my potential. I would like to be a part of a team where I am able to train in a competitive environment in which my peers and I will be able to push each other to become better players along with a coach who will be able to guide my team towards the right path and strengthen our weaknesses. I hope to become an active member at my collegiate and be apart of teams and clubs in hopes of sharing my knowledge with fellow peers and learn from as well.
I am dedicated, determined, and hardworking. When I set a goal for myself, I do not stop until I get to the place that I aspire to be. I am attentive and a quick learner which allows me to adjust my game and constantly improve. I started playing at the age of 12. Despite my late start, I have been able to catch up with fellow players who have been playing since the age of four. I do not like to let people down, I am competitive yet respectful and hope to make a positive impact on this team.
I am also a tennis coach and so I understand the coaching and learning aspect which has made me grow more respect for my coaches I strive to become the best player I can be while demonstrating professionalism. I have been a part of various other sports and teams some of which are; basketball, karate, badminton, volleyball, swimming, skating, track & field, cross country ,and tennis. My experience with these sports have strengthened my athletic abilities and have a positive effect on court. They highlight the importance of teamwork, making me appreciate every member of a team and their role. There are high standards for me while playing these sports as I normally have an important role, such as the point guard in basketball, junior girls single player in badminton, as well as the captain and coach of the tennis team at my high school.
Aside from my athletics at school, I was a part of the International Baccalaureate up to grade 11. This program has challenged and encouraged me to be a well rounded student, requiring high academic standards in addition to having an active role in the community. This involves volunteering and engaging in clubs and sports teams in and outside of school. I have a lot of volunteering experience with a variety of organizations which enhance my leadership, communication, and time management skills. Volunteering with the PTL (Progressive Tennis League) has given me the opportunity to be recognized and recruited as a tennis coach at my club. I enjoy learning and applying my knowledge both in sports and studies. I have graduated middle school at the top of my class with seven awards, including; valedictorian, honor roll, physical education award, principals award, french award, art award, and academic award. I have received the Honor Roll in my freshmen and sophomore year as well as the visual art award in my freshmen year of high school.
I would like to play tennis at a college level as I want to become the best tennis player I can be and reach my full potential. As I continue to train I can feel myself improving in many aspects of the game. Currently, I have been working on attacking and my volleys. Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information!
