I've only started palying tennis my freshman year, but it did not take long for me to fall in love with this game. I am 5 ft 3 1/2 inches and weigh about 150lbs. Some unfortunate events have happened such as a a fractured back my freshman year, but I got back on my feet during the summer of my sophmore year and since then, I have really felt some major improvement in my game. I have been losing weight and gaining endurance. One thing I like to make sure people say when they see me play is not that I got skill but that I can hussle, I never give up. That is my biggest goal, no matter the circumstances, I will not give up.
The number one characteristic that I feel I can bring to any team is spirit. Win or lose, the spirit of tennis is still in me. I am also a very determined player and very coachable. I am willing to learn something new and I always love a good challenge. Tennis never fails to give me just that, a challenge.
My ideal type of school is a lot like the community where I grew up, I like it to be like Goldielocks, " not too big, not too small, but just right. Whether its a private school or a public school, it doesn't really matter to me, but I would pefer a Christian base university. I also would like to stay in Texas, if possible. I would like an acceptable academic level from the school especially in law and social work, my two possible major and minor.
Like all other athletes, I do have goals that I plan to acheive from this sport. Simply put, I just want to play to the best of my ability and play as high of level I can. Where ever that takes me, I will be happy. As long as I am playing tennis for a good college, I will be satisfied.
