Coming from an athletic family, sports have always been a big part of my life. I've had the opportunity to try many different sports before I found tennis, which has allowed me to become a more well rounded athlete. I've learned discipline from dance, companionship and leadership from equestrian competition, teamwork from basketball and volleyball, and flowing with the ball from soccer. Tennis has allowed me to combine teamwork with self reliance.
Through life experiences I have learned the important skills of leadership and compromise. I became a role model and leader while instructing children's equestrian lessons. Travel throughout the United States, Canada, South America, and Europe has also helped me develop as a person. By immersing myself in different cultures around the world I learned to appreciate individuality and to be flexible under challenging circumstances.
Academically, I am very excited for the next step in my journey. I am always excited to learn more, especially when it's something I'm passionate about. My plan is to major in political science or business management, and then attend law school. Ultimately I see my life skills from academics and tennis preparing me for opening my own law practice.
