My name is Mallory Dial. I am a graduating class of 2025 track and field athlete. I wish to continue my track and field experience at the collegiate level.
I have been participating in track and field since I was 10 years old. I have participated on my high school varsity team in both indoor and outdoor seasons since the 7th grade. I have participated in both USATF and AAU junior Olympic Games. I have qualified for every AHSAA indoor and outdoor state meet since the 7th grade. I also train during the summer at Speed City, a Birmingham track training program facilitated by Mardrecus and Brittley Humphrey and high jump input from James Harris. I am also training in strength, agility and explosiveness with trainer designed workouts in conjunction with my skills coaches.
Currently my focus is primarily in high jump, followed by triple jump, long jump, indoor pentathlon and outdoor heptathlon.
My goals for the future are to compete at the collegiate level at an institution where I can meet my educational goals, continue to grow in my athletic abilities, where my skills would contribute to the success of a collegiate team and where I can utilize the training I receive in competition.
I am very serious about my studies. I am currently ranked #1 in GPA for my graduating class. I have a solid ACT score I am evaluating schools that have strong academic programs in the areas of study I am interested in.
Currently I have two remaining indoor/outdoor seasons of competition remaining in high school. I plan to continue working hard on PRs, gaining consistency at those PRs, gaining strength and explosiveness and expanding my skills for the pentathlon/heptathlon events.
One characteristic that I believe has been essential to my accomplishments in track and field, is that I am coachable. I will work hard, try new skills and be open to variations in training methods. I feel that this will be vital in the transition from high school to collegiate athlete.
I would love to connect with schools who believe I would be a good fit for their program.
