Personal Statement

Sports have consumed my life from a very early age and now into my teenage years. I initially started playing soccer but soon found a new love for football. In our community there is only a boys squad so i was quick to join the team at the age of 11. I quickly grew to have much success with my speed and ability to read my opponent. In my rookie year of football i gained the respect of all the boys on the team and recieved most improved defensive player, then the year after denfensive player of the year. I have also played many other sports including basketball and currently U16 boys soccer. To date what I am most proud of is being selected by the RBC training ground as one of the Top 100 athletes in Alberta aged 14-26 both male and female to compete in a combine in Calgary this year. It was such a great opprotunity to be surrounded by Canadian Olypians who saw potential in me at such a young age.

In October of 2017 I started training in track and field, in 8 short months I have improved greatly and know with my hard work and determination I will keep hitting personal best and attaining my goals and dreams I have set out for myself. I know that I have waht it takes to make it to the next level
