Jocelyn Johnson '22 Recruiting Profile

I am Jocelyn Johnson, track and field athlete at Chandler High School. My passion for running began at the age of 7 and I have been competing ever since. I aspire to continue running track throughout my academic career, and I look forward to competing at the collegiate level. My work ethic and dedication ensure I am an asset to any team. I am a self-motivated team member who models leadership and self-discipline. I consistently focus on improving my craft by remaining goal-oriented and putting in the hard work. I am highly coachable and view coaching feedback as a gift I can utilize to enhance my skillset.

My accolades include achieving 2nd place as a freshman in the AIA Division 1 Championships in the 100 and 400. In addition to my athletic endeavors, I pursue educational excellence in honors and advance placement courses. I volunteer my time to help feed and assist underserved populations and work to always be a contributing member of society. In the absence of an official track and field season this year I have used this time to continue my conditioning through a rigorous training regimen in preparation for 2021.
