Sports has always played a big role in my life when it comes to relieving myself and/or discouraging myself. Hi, my name is Cherish Jones (Chair-ish), I run the 100m and 200m. This would be starting my second year running track because I started earlier in March 2024. I previously played soccer for 7 years and was always recognized for my speed and asking to race others. This made me wonder how fast I really am and how I would feel running against real speed. My personal goals for my sophomore year would be to drop my 100m time to 12.0 or faster and my 200m to 24.5 by the end of my sophomore year. In the future I hope to go into law school and become a criminal lawyer/defensive lawyer, I'm in nursing as of right now to hopefully get my CNA license by the end of my junior year which would always be a good backup plan. Running in college has never been something I strive to do, but as of now, I would love to run track in college and see what I'm capable of and what more I have to offer. I have always been very determined and intent on whatever I strive to do which I feel is always key in not only sports but in life, at the end of the day if you're not determined and willing to fight for what you want, you don't deserve to have it. What makes me different from other athletes would have to be my knowledge of understanding and willingness to learn. I know I don't know it all and I can still take advice that may better me in the future. Don't get me wrong I may have an opposite opinion with the advice but I am always willing to hear it.
