Maria Ruiz de Chavez '22 Recruiting Profile

I envision my college years to be a personal growth period in which I continue to grow as a runner. I am a good candidate for your team because I will always be unyielding to failure.  If there is a rough result, I will never shut down and give up, but instead learn from it and perform better next time. I am extremely versatile, independent, and positive. I bring positivity to my team and push others to feel their best. I aspire to run in college in order to continue my passion, and make up for only the 2 years of cross country that I ran.   While focusing on cross cojntry, I will also be focusing on getting a minor in finance. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches and the school.
